Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

I think Wednesday I will be going out of Jordan around 6pm and fishing until probably 12.00 at the latest.

Friday night I believe henderson will be the location but thats not for sure. That might be a later night.

I am probably out then, I don't think I would be able to make it down there by that time and I am already ducking out early tonight to go fishing. The guys at work think I am crazy the way it is.

Could you be to my house by 5pm? I may go to another spot besides Henderson and maybe not. Have to wait and see what spots will be the better with all the rain and the rising river.

I have all the bait and if you need a rod, I'll have that also. Bring what you would like to drink and eat while fishing. I wouls assume that I will fish untill 12:00 for sure but the latest will be 2am.

Let me know here and I will give you directions to my house.

Scott, we will hook up again soon.

No problem Tom! If you ever have a vacant seat, I am usually open. I was out last night I went down stream, I got the big zero, although I found some nice spots. The current is cruising! I was thinking of trying a differnt spot friday anyway. Since the river is up, I might as well keep using my boat! Sometime we will have to take my boat!

    • "A little too fast for a sled not completely broke in yet any way"  For what the new POO Axys or the 2003 Cat? Very low miles on an old sled is good but sitting idle for years is no good. Dirty carbs and or rust on the bearings was the Cats downfall.
    •  Most riders are going to cross a driveway in the ROW as if it were any other crossing.  Start putting up barricades or berms to impede crossing the the ROW and heads will butt.  Point is you may have paved the driveway onto the ROW and feel some ownership but the law says you don't control it.   I see it all the time where a landowner blocks of the ROW.   The local club might contact you or Law Enforcement will to inform you to remove the barrier.
    • I have two huge bags of shelled pecans and walnuts from Xmas that won't be used anytime soon and was wondering if I can feed these to birds and what species of birds would eat them
    • Well, it’s been a few more days. Cardinals are eating it, but they don’t seem to prefer it. Must be a lower quality seed, perhaps? I’m only getting 1 or 2 cardinals now, as opposed to the 10 to 12 I was getting before. Also not getting the sunset feeding frenzy anymore. The redpolls love it though. Anyway, do you guys do anything to help prevent sunflower shell messes, or do anything to clean them up, or do you just deal with the mess?
    • I noticed lately most tire shops have and use torque wrenches instead of just relying on impacts like they used to. Probably a liability thing. Keep in mind a lot of shops employ high school kids part time which is good because they know everything at that age. I had a shop years back put on lugs so tight it ruined the rims and lug nuts. Breaker bar is also a handy tool as well as the BFH
    • Congrats huckfin!!! It was a crashfest! Now to the real racing.
    •   It may be that they knew the folks up there needed a little extra help because they couldn't get the Righty tighty-Lefty loosey deal down. So, they had to make special trucks just for the Yukon Territory?
    • Couple things to keep in mind. Various wheels will require varying torque settings and it should be ON the wheel, or in the owners manual. If you are in a shop make a point of TELLING them what torque settings you want used on your tires/wheels. And of course big difference if you have steel or cast aluminum wheels.  Years back, believe it or no, some Dodge trucks would tighten turning LEFT and then on the other side they would tighten turning RIGHT!  You need not ask me how I know this but it all took place in the middle of the Yukon Territory.
    • That's what I had to do to get the tire off.  Not the type of thing you're likely to have handy when you get a flat away from home.
