eyepatrol
Is it a good idea to use grass clippings as mulch over bare dirt areas that I've newly seeded? If so, how thick should the clippings be spread on top? Thanks!!
Quetico
This is a great idea. Just completely cover the dirt. Don't make the layer thick, keep it thin but cover the dirt. The grass clippings will help retain moisture and provide a slow release fertilizer source.
IFallsRon
I've used the clippings. I spread enough to cover the seed but you can still see the dirt.
