Will she bail out tonight

75 posts in this topic

Lots of speculation that Hillary is going to bail out tonight. Poor old Bill was whining yesterday some place about how this may be the last time he got to campaign for her.

So, do you think she'll throw in the towel tonight, or any time this week?

I think she's going to take it all the way to the convention - after all, isn't that what they are for?

"WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton will concede Tuesday night that Barack Obama has the delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, campaign officials said, effectively ending her bid to be the nation's first female president"

I think it's over except the cryin'

and the dems are going to nominate another McGovern/mondale/dukakis with barak hussein obama. the only republicans my parents and other democrat leaning relatives voted for are nixon, reagan, and george bush the elder(1988). they all vowed to vote for mcCain if hillary lost the nomination.

You are probably right Dave... However, I've also read that she may continue to campaign all the way to the convention. It remains to be seen if this will actually take place or not. But we've all seen how much of an attention hog she is, I would not put this past her.

I hope she keeps going till the convention, then takes the Fla/Mich issue to court. Love to see the socialists slinging mud at each other!

As much a people disagree on the issues, we all gotta admit this political season is fun. The entertainment factor has gone through the roof.

Obama could do worse than have her for a running mate.

IF TWO THINGS: IF he has sense enough to capitalize on her support among some voting groups without putting her front and center (which would be a detriment), and IF he listens to her advice when the feces hits the fan in the White House.

Like her or not, Hillary Clinton is one tough and resilient person and politician, and Obama could learn a lot from her. In fact, I believe he already has. Beating her for the Democratic nomination was more of a baptism by fire than running against McCain will be.

I do think his surrounding himself with america bashers and his comments about average americans will come back to haunt him. however, McCain can screw this up. I dont think choice of vice president is all that important. Dukakis picked a more conservative southern democrat as a running mate in the hopes of capturing the south and still lost in a landslide

as more and more came out about him i made myself an oath . if clinton got the nomination, i would sit this one out. if obama did, i would vote McCain

Knowing I'm going to get my rear kicked, I'm going to say it anyway......For America's sake, she should not be a running mate. She will use the vice presidency the same way she used a senate seat in NY. Not for the sake of the country, or the state she's supposed to be representing, but for her own personal gain to reach the presidency. America does not need a power struggle between a president and the vice president. I'm not saying it hasn't happened in the past, I'm saying we don't need it.

If and when she does not recieve the nod from the Dem party to be their candidate for president, she should go back to New York and actually make an honest attempt to represent a state she never lived in and knows nothing about.

There ya go, let me have it.

"America Bashers"

lol

would you like a list?? bill ayers, his wife, rev. wright. i cringe at what else will come out. i have met alot of dems and repubs who will fight over health care, iraq, ect. but not one, liberal or conservative, thought we deserved 9/11, has not never been proud of their country or saw their country as nothing but mean, thought God [PoorWordUsage] america, thought bombing police cars and buildings was ok, ect ect. the obama supporters are scarier than the mccain or hillary supporters. as bad as the other two are, they dont surround themselves with america bashers like he has. one wonders who would he appoint to cabinets. dont forget he is running for POTUS, not university proffessor were those views are popular. and if you have a problem with my post, you need to take it up with obama. i didnt force him to surround himself with those people. arent we supposed to scrutinize our potential presidents???

Scrutinize our potential presidents? You betcha! And in the current mad-dog climate, scrutinizing what might be wrong in America will get you labeled an America basher faster than the concrete at a NASCAR event gets slimed with chew.

You want scrutiny of our presidential candidates? Then allow scrutiny of our country.

    • Correct.  Stinkhorns.
    • Sorry, HW signed the agreement then handed it over to Billy C.  So, you're right, clearly the democrats fault.
    • Who signed the NAFTA treaty? The House of Representatives approved NAFTA, by a vote of 234 to 200 on November 17, 1993, and the Senate voted 60 to 38 for approval on November 20. It was signed into law by President Clinton on December 8, 1993, and took effect on January 1, 1994.   Derp.....
    • I say we go to Mars and make the Martians pay for it.
    • No idea what you're talking about, but I'll assume it's complimentary.
    • Probably a good call since Trump's assertion that Billy C. signed NAFTA into law is false.
    • Any one have one of the newer automatic King Quest Satellites? I just bought a new Ice Castle, and my old own had the Winegard crank up style dish which I had no problem with. They are trying to tell me to buy a new  king portable one, but I am not sure it is worth the extra money. I only know of one person with the newer one, and he said he liked the older crank up one better. He said he was always losing signal with automatic one. Any feed back would be great.. Thanks
    • Hey all, I recently upgraded from my homemade wheelhouse to a new hydraulic ice castle and had a few questions I forgot to ask at the dealer. 1. For the hydraulic frame, does anyone bring extra hydraulic fluid with? Wouldn't imagine to need it unless you had a leak but I don't know much about hydraulics. Ever need to change out the fluids? 2. Ladders. After buying and trying to get on the top bunk I noticed it is extremely hard to climb up there (especially after a few beers) are they suppose to come with a ladder? was going to call the dealer and try and make them throw one in. I made a temporary ladder which works fine but wondering what other people have done. 3. DNR Registration numbers. My previous house I had some decals made up and looked real nice. However that had smooth siding. Anyone have any advice on where to put numbers that look good? Suppose I could just be extra careful in applying to the ribbed siding so they get applied smooth with the grooves but wondering where everyone else puts theirs. Don't really want to do the old white square boat numbers on there. 4. Microwaves. Anyone have any recommendations on a good microwave to install? I have a lot of empty space above the hydraulics near the kitchen I think a microwave would be perfect, and there is already an outlet there for charging the hydraulic system battery - just wondering if anyone had a good one for travel/low power draw. 5. Any recommendations on generators? Was going to go buy a new Honda 2000 have heard good things about them and always been a Honda fan. that should run a small microwave I'm thinking? My Honda 1000 bit the dust last year - mainly because of my own mistake haha 6. Sound system. Sounds okay in there but it isn't the upgraded premium speakers. Wondering if anyone had some new speakers they liked and possibly a new deck. 7. Rod holders. Wanted to throw some fishing pole holders on the wall in the bathroom. Was having a hard time finding any I liked at the stores or online. Anyone have something that worked well for them, and didn't fall out during transit? I had one last year I had mounted under a cabinet and of course the first weekend with my new crappie pole fell off and broke!   Figured I'd see if anyone had any advice on what worked well for them. Thanks in advance!!
