Scarlet Tanager

I haven’t seen anyone post a Scarlet Tanager before. I thought I would share a few of these not so great pictures that were taken through the window in low light with my P&S camera today. I have only seen them in the southern part of the state and was surprised to see this one at my feeder. They are such beautiful birds.

We seem to have a fair share of them at the cabin in NW Wisc., but have never seen them in the feeder. What a treat!

Awsome looking bird - fisrt one I have seen was on Lake Erie N of Hutch 3 years a go - have seen one since.
