How big of a job is it to replace a cam? Any special tools required? Was told the rocker also needs to be changed at same time so new cam doesn't wear. Does this apply to the intake rocker also?

One of the biggest things when replacing your cams is to make sure your timing marks line up right. You can punch a valve through your piston if everything isn't lined up right.

You'll need a torque wrench to tighten everything down per manufacturer specs. The job can be accomplished by the average shade-tree mechanic with the manuals available.
