Tubin', riggin, and jiggin''....

Recommended Posts

Heading for a 4 day camping trip tomorrow in Glendalough SP. It's a cool little park, and one of the lakes doesn't allow any motor boats (electric or gas) or any electronic fish finding equipment. Bringing my tube and a canoe, hoping I can tie into some nice panfish, and also tangle with some walleyes. Never lindy rigged or jigged using a tube before, but thought it might be fun to try. Anybody ever do that? What works best to keep minnows? I have a little leach tote, thought that might work.

Calvinist - sounds like a good trip you have planned.

My version of lindy rigging from my kayak is:

a lindy rig with a bobber,

then I rest my rod on the front of the yak

and then paddle backwords so I can keep an eye on the pole and line.

have fun !!

I love to troll in my canoe so lindy riggin is pretty easy. If you don't have a rod holder then you can do it the old fashioned way and tuck it under your knee and paddle. Keep the drag light an dlet the fish pull some line first.
