ec30_06
The carp are packing into the shallow warm parts of the lake the last few days. I have seen buffalo spawing in a few places already. The best shooting of the year is very close.

Ralph Wiggum
The carp spawn is a weird thing. I regularly shoot spawners in July on our lake. Don't know what governs it!

so haaad
I've found that in the north metro the carp typically start coming into the shallows when the cottonwood seeds start falling.
sparcebag
Out here the run was slow starting and its slowed but the creeks are yet full of carp so the run in my opinion is almost over. The shallows here are full of carp feeding the spawn wont start for weeks, also this year the water is murkier than past years.
