Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Why not Rowdy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, he'll be a better than average pick to win. However, with no points on the line and it being strictly for bragging rights (and a lot of money), this may be an excellent opportunity for some of the other driver's to treat him the way he has treated them on the track this season. I think Shrub has a good chance to win, but also an equally good chance he is going to get put into the fence....but that's the situation he created for himself.

A million dollars and no points on the line. There will definitely be a lot more "pushing and shoving". grin

The key is to make it to the last segment. If you are running stupid in the 1st ones you may never have a shot at the big $$$$$$$$$$$

Did I here right? Did they change the race again? Now it is going to be 4 segments.

I will add some class to the picks and go with Martin. He has the patients but does he have the ponies and greed.

Or with the format change doesn't he get in. I beleive as a past winner he is in.

JPM WON at Sear's Point, that's how he is in.

48 is the only smart bet at this place. 18 will be fast I'm sure, but that moron took out himself and his own brother in this race last year and he's driving even more recklessly now. With no points on the line, he'll be really out of control, it will be lucky if any car near him finishes!

Kevin Harvick. Last years champ.

The day after winning the million last year he was at Iowa Speedway for a East West Nascar modified series race. The race started at noon.

In that race Joey Logano finished 2nd to Harvick.

He gained my respect just for SHOWING UP 13 hours after winning the million!

    • Paint is roughy just used what I had but pretty dang happy with it for 30 bucks.  First charcoal test lasted 6-7 hours.A5B3A72F-6F87-445B-949E-92B20BF41ECF.MOV
    • I still think sous vide is the ticket if you want the lean roast to be tender, juicy, and pink .  (must resist temptation to insert inappropriate remark here) Next I think I will try the accelerated simulated dry aging where the meat is brushed with fish sauce before sealing in the bag and going in the refrigerator, and then held at 103 for an hour or so (not too long) in the bath before cooking at 130.
    • I purchased the FLX-28 last season after using the 18 for several years and wow, what a night and day difference!  I really enjoy the auto depth range feature and digital depth readout.  No more taking time to guess the depth!  Weed mode rocks in shallow water weeds when I'm looking for 'gills.  The two zoom zones are great especially for suspended crappies when the 6 foot bottom zoom isn't enough.  Now the bottom 12 feet is there.  Great battery life and it's much quieter than the 18.  Color customization is nice (I have it on palette 3) and I don't have any interference from any other flasher thanks to 20 rejection modes.  I've seen the Marcum 6 and 7s in action and they are also very nice units and allow for lots of customization.  Biggest issue is time to learn the features and the price point.  Still hard to beat the quality of Vexilar or the service the company provides!
    • My dad, may he rest in peace, used an old wood cutting bandsaw that he converted by making some sort of kludgey plywood things to keep the blade on the wheels.   Worked fine.  Not sure how easy it was to clean.   Also not sure how much he worried about it.   Ease of disassembly for cleaning, and blade retention in the presence of food grease would seem to be the big issues.  He cut up a lot of deer and a few moose and nobody got sick...  for what that's worth.
    • Well Del, that's 3 more than he had!
    • Well, I had three, and that's about all I got.
    • They've been ice fishing Upper Red since Nov 7th Were on track for a traditional winter
    • Great question! The only time I've found a need to do that with the K drill, is when I drill multiple holes side by side.   Really glad I bought a K drill, super light, and fast. The way our winters seem to getting, with less and less ice; I'm considering selling the Lazer Mag. Maybe some year we'll see an old fashion MN winter with 3' of ice and tons of snow....
    • I just wanted to share some of my experiments with solar power and solar heat on my fish house. It's 8x12 with one 100 watt solar panel and a custom made 4x7 active solar heating panel on the back. It puts out some incredible heat for free, up to 110F.
    • It's the cooking forum, someone asked about your bedtime eating habits. Not sure how that's not food/ cooking related. You didn't derail nuttin but maybe rundave can enlighten us.
