Installing a Cigarette Lighter Adapter in boat...

I am putting plug-in for my Lowrance H2o C in my fishing boat so I can plug it in and save on batteries. I have it wired straight from the battery currently, what size fuse am I going to need for this? I am assuming I will need one..correct?

If you look in the directions for your H2O, it could state which amp one to use. I would also keep the one in that comes with the assc cord also. I think I have a 10 amp in mine now.

put a inline one in at least 10 amps so you can use the plug in for spotlight or anything else . the plug in for the h20 has a fuse in the plug for its selve which i think is about 2 amp fuse.

10-15 amp will do. I would make sure you keep a spare in the boat also.
