North Dakota lake chip

7 posts in this topic

Does anyone know what chips are out there for ND lakes... I would be primarily interested in having the lakes around Jamestown (Reservoir, Ashtabula, Spiritwood, Pipestem...etc). I wouldn't complain if I got Devils as a side bonus.

I would take a look at the Navionics Premium W-4. Seems it has what you are looking for.

Lakemaster does have the Devils laker map.

The ones that harvey lee mentions are good... I'd also check out the Lake Trax - they turned the new GNF maps into a GPS Map chip.. iffwalleyes has one for Jamestown and it's pretty nice.

Ben, if you follow M_M's suggestion, get ahold of me. The guy who makes them is a buddy of mine and I can get him to give you a good deal on what you're looking for.

Lake Trax is better for the main lakes that you are looking for Ben. Navionics isn't as good. But Navionics will have more lakes but also carry a higher price. 60 bucks for a lake trax chip. I see he has done some upgrading to the number of lakes on his chip since I last got it. The cool thing is he will always upgrade you and not charge you the full price pretty good deal.

Thanks fellas... Scoot, I will contact you after a little while. I got some fishing to do this weekend (have fun with the kiddies... not fun to poke fun now is it??).

I would also suggest the Lake Trax. I have his product and it is worth the money. Get ahold of Scoot and he will put you in touch with him.

    • I gave up trying to watch it. I think the guys dog filmed it with a Go-pro strapped to his head.
    • Bernie has not a lick of common sense. He appeals mainly to those fuzzy-brained dreamers and of course that includes many of today's youth,   who despite having great school systems, cannot learn much more than how to operate a cell-phone. A thoughtful politician can dream when he's having a snort or sitting in a duck blind or golfing but when the tires hit the road he's gotta function within some realistic parameters.  Bernie can't do that. Nothing personal Bernie, but it's time to go home and sit down-the election is over and nobody will be interested in you next time.
    • Still best smoked, as they are an oily fish, too.
    • I am having the same issue with mine. I believe it's a gen 2 that's 2 years old but only been out 3 times now. Took it out last weekend for the first time this year and the hose was stiff and the fittings leaked. I contacted jiffy and they said it needed to go to a service center to be repaired. I called the service center and they would have to order the part anyway. I've tried finding the hose around town but everywhere is sold out. That's definitely going to put a damper on the nice weekend coming up. I'm really kicking myself for going with the propane and not an Ion. This auger was my first experience with jiffy after having and Eskimo and strikemaster. My strikemaster was the 3 blade that had some issues with bending the blades. I called them to find out if there was a replacement that I could buy and they ended up swapping it for free and this was after having it for 6-8 years. I'm very disappointed in the service from jiffy on a 2 year old auger with defective parts.
    • For me Tullies have always been rather strong flavored. Always needed a lot of smoke to cover that up.
    • Looking forward to the results of your experiment.
