Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

15 horse Johnson issues

Recommended Posts

I have a one year old 15 horse johnson that when you pull the rope to start it, it doesnt catch. You can pull the rope in and out without feeling any resistance. It finaly catches on the 9th or 10th pull then it starts after that. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I took it in to a mech and he couldnt find a thing out of place. Anyone know what to do? Thanks.

Theres a set of dogs that grab a hub. If you get dust and dirt in them they will stick. Take the cover off and flush out he crud with WD-40 while at the same time pulling on the recoil.

    • I was out last nite----7 inches of ice
    • Man wouldn't I love to have a nice F100!   Years ago had a PU from Ford with that rock solid, dependable straight six! What a piece of work. I traded if off and the fella I traded it to did the same and it went through a bunch of owners. And the last time I saw the carcass of the thing it rigged to big saw (24" blade) and was being used to cut firewood and slabs for cabins. Hell, it may still be running!!
    • Just enough ice to get away from the in-laws.
    • Have you tied it using low power?
    • The proview is a POS. To start off..you can't control the cone angle for dump. Turning the gain up to get a wider cone angle makes the lure signal and other signals huge blobs. Even when the gain is turned to the lowest setting, the proview never narrows to a 9*

So in shallow water when a guy wants a wide bean and sharp signal returns the proview is a blobby POS. Because the gain needs to be high to get the wider beam.

In 30ft of water where you want a narrow beam to keep your buddies lure off your display the proview never gets narrow enough turned all the way down.

With a tri beam you can fine tune everything 1,000% better.

I had a unit with a tri beam next to a unit with the pro view.........that night we were sending the pro view in for an exchange to get the tri beam
    • This is very cool! After seeing your post I did some research online and it all looks very simple. The one I saw just used window screens layer with some separation between with a sheet of plexiglass covering it all.    I always thought making a windmill with an old 80s chevy alternator would work pretty slick to keep a battery charged in a hard sided house. It seems like there is always wind but not always sun. It would definitely be nice to come out to the house and have it warm.
    • Well it probably wouldn't hook up to the old Ford F100 anyway.
    • I am puzzled by this fascination with push button starting in vehicles.  What is the advantage over time tested and simple metal key? Why would I want to add one more 'doo-dad" to my trucks  electric system that complicates things? Seems to me the push button start  feature is mainly offered to trap young drivers into thinking it is something new and "totally cool".  It has been around for a long time but why the big fuss now. Can somebody explain it to an old fashioned key user?
