Yep, we got out and saw alot of sign but I missed the only shot we had blush.gif. Maybe it was just rookie calling on my part, or they were just uncooperative but only saw one. The one shot I missed was prob 200 yds but stil should have hit it. It was great just to get out in the woods and to meet another FM'er. I'm wondering if the style of call makes a difference. For example, the area where we were has a high snowshoe hare population but only a few cottentails. Is there a difference in the vocalizations? I might try it again after it dries out up there this spring with a fawn distress type call.

glad to hear you guys at least saw one...a lot of guys go out and don't even find sign.

I'm a novice as well and don't know if there is a difference in the vocalizations...I'd say stick with what you did if you managed to pull one within 200 yards.
