Hotmap gps adjustments

I purchased the Hotmap chip for Minnesota this year but found out in a hurry that it was not quite 'on the mark' when on a body of water. Is there a way to adjust the gps settings to make them closer to the structure on the lake. Once I find the structure I can see what it looks like on the gps and follow the contour but not being on the spot or even withing 50 yards of the spot is aggravating.

Unfortunately, the Hotmaps chips are a ripoff. They use data that is not very accurate. The only chips worth buying at present are one that contain lakes that have been surveyed by the folks at Reelbottom or Lakemaster.

I've found that my Michigan Hotmaps chip is not as accurate as I would have thought. If I'm lucky, it is within 50 yards. I use it to just get me close to the structure. I guess that is all we will get out of it.
