Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Nordic 2 man flip over

Recommended Posts

I understand Polar has a new shelter this year called the Nordic (2 man). The people at Gander claim it's a pretty good set up. Does anyone else have any opinions on this one? I'm looking to make my purchase this week, but still debating which one.

Thanks

It's not new this year. It is however a pretty nice unit from what I saw of it last year. I liked it.

I also recommend you take a look at the Eskimo Outpost - CLICK HERE or Grand Caravan - CLICK HERE - They're both VERY ROOMY and worth a good long look.

Another to take a look at is the Otter Resort - CLICK HERE. Most claim Otter is the best built Fish House on the market because of their tubs.

Rick....

Where did you see the house last year? This is the first year that Polar has made the Nordic house.

The Nordic is a high quality house. They feature 11oz. Breathable Canvas / Rugged Polyethlene Towable Sled / Windows on all 4 Sides / 2 Side Vents / 2 High Back Swivel Seats / Built in Auger Holder / Exterior & Interior Draft Flaps.

Retail price $399 / Over all in my opion this is a quality house a a great price.

I now own one of these houses and think it is the best two man house on the market for
the money. And it not nylon it is canvas.
And I can stand straight up in this one.
Iwould go with the Nordic.

I apologise, I misread BUZEHOWND's post.

I mistakenly thought he was posting on Polar's double flip over. You can probably tell by the links I provided to Otter and Eskimo.

    • And finally some finished pictures. Rod holders in the back rests of the rear dinette. UV lights in bench for charging glow in the dark jigs. Switches next to the radio control the outdoor speakers and the other controls the exterior strobe lights. I have a strobe controller wired into the trailer lights. I did LED strip lights instead of the traditional individual hole lights.
    • I have been building a fish house and have decided to share it on here sense so many of you (Especially Lip_Ripper) have helped me out so much. I used basically all of the same building techniques Lip_Ripper and a few other guys on this site have used. Stole a few ideas from some of you but hopefully no one gets too worked up over that. I have everything except the bathroom, plumbing, lift bed, and awning done. It is 100% a fish house right now, ready for ice and I can't wait to get it out! Frame- 8X21' +4' V Valley Manufacturing galvanized hydraulic Walls/roof- 1x2" rectangular tubing Siding- Flat black aluminum held on with 3M adhesive tape Roof- 3/8" plywood covered with rubber membrane Floor- 3/4" marine grade plywood Insulation- Closed cell spray foam   One piece aluminum wheel wells.  1/4" cedar tongue and groove. At this point I was still undecided if I was going to stain it or not and sense I did end up staining it I should have just used pine. Looking back on it now it could have saved me a few bucks. The start of staining. I used Sherwin-Williams Pecan.
    • Pine County is full of them!
    • My dad made a return trip to the same area yesterday. He saw 3 birds, but didn’t get any shots off. Pretty encouraging he’s seeing a lot of birds in that area. We’re heading up to Grand Marais on Monday for the week, should be good times!
    • Good thing they’re playing the late game today. Give the weather a chance to clear up. As much I like watching games in the rain, 3 weeks in a row is enough!
    • At least the twins won’t have to worry about Detroit being a threat for years to come. Gardenhire and rebuilding just don’t go together.
    • Final 2 minutes of lastnight’s game was pretty exciting. I agree, it’s going to take several more games for the team to really come together. But winning those types of games will make it happen faster!
    • So late last ice fishing season I was looking at underwater camera's and thought I narrowed it down to either a Marcum VS825SD or the Aqua-Vu HD700i.   Now I see Aqua-vu has a new model out this year the HD7i Pro.   Does any know what the differences are between the HD700i and the HD7i Pro ?    Usually I don't like to buy first year products as I like to see them get all the bugs worked out first.
    • took a few pics while not catching perch.
