Leak in my Jonboat

What is the best way to repair a leak in an aluminum jonboat? I had to cut my fishing short last night,I prung a leak just when the Smallies were starting to bang my popper.

Get it welded. Had mine welded up over in ham lake on highway 65. Cant remember the name of the place. Have never had to worry about it since.

Leak found,problem solved. Thanks for the info I will be back on the St.Croix in no time.

Welding is best. On trips when you can't get it to a welder, keep a tube of one of the brands of "plastic weld" in the boat. They are marketed as "plastic solder," too. You'll have to take the boat out of the water to dry it, and they take several hours to set up hard, but they'll do the trick when you're miles and days from a shop.
