Anybody own one of these? I have a 16' boat with a 60 horse merc and can go about 33 mph with myself in it. By adding one of these am I going to add much more stability? top end speed? handling? Or is it just another gimmick.

I don't have one, but I have heard from others that do, that the benifits are slowing planing speeds, and comes on plane better. I have also heard that it will actually cut down on the top end a little.

I have one and if I ever get another boat, I will put one on there also. They don't increase your top speed but you do get on plane ALOT quicker and as they said, stay on plane at lower speeds.
