Battery Acid On My Boat Carpet

Greg Clusiau

Question

After getting everything ready for the new season, I noticed that I have battery acid on the floor of the boat. In an area about 6" across, it is dark-stained and acid-smelling. Tried cleaning it with baking soda but it still doesn't look the best. Anyone ever have this problem?

Thanks in advance.....Greg C.

Sulfuric Acid:

Baking Soda first, NO WATER. Rub the baking soda in, let sit 1 minute, take as much back out with paper towels as you can, and then rinse out with COLD water.

Thats all you can do.
