nylon ropes

9 posts in this topic

I came into possession of an older tri hull; I think it’s a Lund. It has a 35 horse Evinrude. Today while I was pulling the boat onto the trailer, the nylon rope broke and the boat started to slide down the trailer. I don’t know how old the nylon rope is but I’m thinking I want to replace it. My question is, is there a difference in nylon ropes? And if there is, what is the best brand to get.

Strap/belt is the only way to go ... if it doesnt fit in the winch that is on the trailer now ... replace winch also.

The strap on my boat has been on for close to 15 years and is still as good as ever.
