Oil Injected O/B

scalescratcher

Question

I bought a used boat this off season with a 115HP Johnson Faststrike. This is the first experience I've had with an oil injected system. Can anyone lend some info on how much oil I should expect this type of system to use?

I used about a gallon last year with my 70 evinrude. It will depend one how much gas you burn.

I would just keep an eye on the resevoir until you get an idea how much you tend to use.

If you run it at various speeds you will end up using the oil at a rate of about 50 to 1. The OMC tanks hold 1.8 gal. unless it is the large 3 gal tank. The low oil horn will probably start sounding off at about the 75 gal. mark. grin.gif
