northern light lake

I will be going to northern light lake in June and was wondering if anyone has fished it, and what can I expect. Any info would be great. This lake is connected to Sag.

Im headed up there in Aug. From what my neighbor says it can be fantastic. They go up every year and do well. Its a fairly big lake but is a structure fishermans dream from what Ive heard.
Where are you staying? We are at Northern Lights Resort. Let me know how you do.

I fished Northern Light last year for the first time. We went the second week in May and stayed at Northern Light Resort. It was fairly cold, we were 5 days after ice-out which is what we were shooting for to get some good pike fishing. Call me crazy but that's what we normally fish for, big pike. Even with the bad weather we still caught a lot of good sized fish. 10-15 pike over 10 pounds and had a lot of luck with smallies, all of which were 3-4 pounders, jumbo smallies. It's a very remote lake and I would definitely recommend it, I'm heading back there myself the same week. The only thing I think I wouldn't like about Northern Light Resort in June would be all the people, it's the only lodge on the lake and they have 120 trailer sites. We were there right before the walleye opener so there wasn't anyone on the lake except one other group. If you want some more info feel free to email me at [email protected].
