Rubber transom pad

3 posts in this topic

Someone told my that I should put a rubber pad on the transom of my aluminum boat and put my motor on it, bcause it cuts down the noise vibrating through the aluminum. Anyone think it would really make a difference?

i wouldn't. if your rig vibrates, and rattles that bad it is time to get some things fixed? ( tighten loose screws, bolts, and clamps) you will always have some noise with the motor running . line the boat with carpet if it isn't already. i feel uncomfortable about clamping onto rubber with the o.b. motor. my
