3 mile, 12 mile, little river

Recommended Posts

Was able to fish mostly all day on 12Mile on Labor Day. Fished from 11:20a to a little before 8p. That cold front from the night before had the fish dead. Managed some fish trolling, but mostly yellows with a crappie and couple gills thrown in. Wind got pretty rough at times. At 3ish I decided to try jigging. It produced more fish, but mostly yellows. Anywhere we fished we got them, no matter what depth or location. Tried many places and only found one willing walleye. I hate cold fronts.

Havent heard anything from the other two. Thought about hitting them instead of 12, but with the cold front I knew I would at least catch something on 12 so that is where I went.

For walleye, try the points, dam, and old roadbeds. DOnt overlook the trees for eyes in that lake as I have seen some hoss fish pulled out. Gills, crappie, and yellow bass are all over the lake, but your best bet is near trees. Not a big lake so it doesnt take too much time to fish a lot of places. GOod luck.
