Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

You know what we all love...

When you enchant people, you fill them with delight and yourself in return. Have Fun!!!

    • Been a busy morning. Kettle if soup, venny neck roast for deer camp 2018, and Chinese chicken for supper tomorrow. Sure hope the photography passes leech approval.
    • I guess after 37 years of deer hunting all over this state and a few others I feel there are some improvements that could be made here at home and that’s about all I have left to say.   After my last two FA deer seasons in MN, I don’t know if I’ll buy another FA season tag for this state again.  And I’m not pouting about not seeing a big buck.  I’m just fed up with the public land circus, neighboring property owner disagreements and sub par results due to the chaos of that season.  It’s really starting to disgust me.  So, I’ll take your advice and leave the season up to the rest of you that are in bliss.     For the record: I wish you guys would get over the trophy hunter name calling to degrade others’ opinions how deer hunting could improve.  You’re right in saying it’s not all about the antlers but you’re wrong in simplifying the opposing views as just that.   Oh, and if I leave your season and just wanna stay content with an archery season, can ya’ll leave that alone and not pile in with crossbows?  Please?
    • Thank you all who came to the banquet!
    • brilliant deduction there Watson!!!!!!!!!
    • Focus guys! Who here is advocating for APR or the end to party hunting? Answer..........Noone! To hell with the special interest groups. But if you think you can maintain the status quo for the last 3 decades and expect a healthy herd with the way it is being managed now, think again.  You will see an even further decline in hunters and hunter satisfaction. I would much rather shoot one deer per year than shoot 5 this year and then none the next 4 seasons. It's called sustainability. It's not the 80s, 90s, or even early 2000s.
    • Because they are woodpeckers?   Just a guess.
    •   So hunters are already in decline and a small group of special interest hunters want everyone to conform to their version of Utopia which includes fewer hunters yet and more regulation. I don't see how that fixes things.
    •   I would also be willing to bet that the majority of people pushing for APR's and to end party hunting are also big advocates of catch and release fishing. If that's the case why not just go shed hunting? There's no crowds, you can take any size antlers you want and you can even use a dog. You can mount them all over your house and brag to your friends without ever having to shoot a deer.
    • Who cares about "age structure"? I've seen things like "organic" or "grass fed" beef in the grocery store but I have yet to see a sign asserting that "our beef is older".   If you guys want to hunt for antlers then by all means go and do it but don't expect that everyone in the states wants to game the system to help you.
