Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

9.4.17 Sunset Lodge Fishing Report, nw Angle of low

Recommended Posts

Hello from the NW Angle of Lake of the Woods!

It finally feels like fall up in the Northwest Angle. Crank baits have been producing larger walleyes out of Canada, while bottom bouncing the deeper waters between reefs is yielding fish as well as a jig and minnow set up.

Crappie season is in full swing, being found at 30ft plus off of points with a light set up and a minnow.

Muskie action continues to provoke anglers. Many are experiencing multiple fish days and seeing big fish move on a variety of baits be it blades, top water or minnow baits. The approaching full moon should ensure great opportunities at a true giant.

In Minnesota waters, we have been seeing mixed bags of perch, and walleye/perch limits. Fish are being found in many difficult areas; shallow 14-18’ and deeper 25-28’. While fish are spread out, bottom bouncing continues to be a popular and affective approach. Our biggest walleye last week was caught on the jig in shallower rocky areas.

We hope to see you soon for some fantastic fall fishing!

    • DC to AC converters work well on low AC current but takes a bit of DC battery current. Example a drip coffee maker uses 900 AC watts (7.5 amp) which draws 83 amps DC battery current. 15 AC amps draws 165 DC battery amps. (Based on 110 VAC & 12 VDC). Batteries die quickly converting to AC. https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/tools/ac-to-dc-amperage-conversion-run-through-an-inverter.html
    • Saturday I am going to be duck hunting and I always am excited for opening day!  I know I will get some shooting in but let's just hope the ducks are where I want them.
    • You know there are no guarantees that he signs here for less money. He certainly would have gotten more elsewhere after this season based on comparables. Who are the replacements for him? We have guys that may be a year or two removed from being a top 6 guy, but this buys us time. Worst case he slides down to 3rd or 4th line and one of our young guys still on an ELC elevates if his game drops. He could also be consistent with his last two seasons, a solid #2 center and allow the likes of Kunin and Ek to develop down the lineup.
    • Might find it in here...... https://www.floridamuseum.ufl.edu/exhibits/butterfly-rainforest/id-guide/orange/
    • Very nice photos eyeguy54.
    • Ya he comes home the 29th getting excited for pheasant going to take a trip out to sodak this year Ended up showing a guy from work who is a first time bow hunter a couple of my spots in Sherburne. Was going to walk kunkel after for grouse but it ended up getting too late so just went home. Was hoping for some good weather this weekend but doesn't look too good. Friday is a high of 90! no thanks Maybe I will get a morning sit in for deer hunting if the rain cooperates
    • anybody know what it is?
    • I've been finding a few hens, but nothing like last year (which was great for me).  Here's one that was just shy of ten pounds sitting next to my daughter.
    • You may as well paddle a green kiddie pool around.  Might find one for 50 cents if you look a little. Um, yeah, I've actually seen it done.
    • Good move!  I'm sure they are thankful! I might've made an offer if I'd seen this before but they'll probably be better used in the organization that received them. Sorry the hear your hunting days are over.
