JBMasterAngler
Went to Little Ganite Lake early Saturday morning. Was chilly out at 6 AM was nice having the lake to myself for the few hours I was out there. Trolled a rebel craw about 3/4 of the time I was there. Lost something big right away...few minutes I found out what it probably was. Caught a 21 inch rainbow trout. Later caught a typical yearling rainbow, and a tiny largemouth bass. Had a few strikes, but nothing else. My plan was to head over to Pickerel Lake and get a few more trout. But once I got there, the lot was full...not much room on a twenty acre lake for more than 2 boats. So I tried Clarey Lake instead. Didn't have any expectations there. Which made sense, because I didn't catch anything. If I ever do this trek again in the spring, maybe I'll have to stop at Pickerel first, then go to Little Granite. At 21 inches, this was the biggest inland rainbow I've ever caught. Very unique color as well.
