Just turned it on after the Wolves game! Caught the last Clemson TD, I always root for the underdog when my teams are out...which is... quite a bit. lol

Fantastic game!

Watson had some poise, nice win for Clemson.  Got to admit i didnt see this outcome coming.

Sorry Big Dave, nice season, i think Alabama's defense got worn down and couldn't make up losing Scarborough and less than stellar QB play.

I am sure we will see Alabama again next year.

It was a good season. I knew they would have trouble with clemson, good QBs always give that Bama defense fits. They are built to stop the run and pressure QBs into mistakes. Watson is too good of a QB and didn't make that big mistake last night.

Alabama's offense has not been good all season. I'm surprised they scored as many points as they did without the defense scoring. I said before the game that Bama needed to score once on defense to win and that would have been the margin. I think not having Kiffin calling the plays may have hurt the offense in the 4th qtr. Kiffin had a way of spreading out defenses throughout the game so those running backs could take control in the 4th qtr and keep opposing offenses off the field.

To be honest, at the beginning of the year I thought this was going to be somewhat of a rebuilding year. True freshman quarterback and their best offensive player was a sophomore running back who was injured most of the year.

Last night was the first time since I got rid of cable 9+ years ago that I wished I had it back so I could watch the game.  Had sick kids at home so couldn't get out to catch the game somewhere else.  When it comes to college football I don't really have a rooting interest in any particular team. I just want to see entertaining football and some drama and last nights game had plenty of that.  Its what a title game should look like.

Agree totally with you guys: terrific game!  Too bad we don't see more contests where the matches are a bit more even. But last night was a dandy!!

Sure seemed like Alabama defense delivered quite a few hits with intent to injure. Stay classy.

Back to being a fraud agan I see.

That has absolutely nothing to do with last night's game. Why do they allow you to stay on this sight?

Did you read the link below where Clemson's star linebacker admitted that they do things like that in "every game"?

That's how it had something to do with last night's game.

And that happened in last night's game how many times? Alabama leading with the helmet any chance they had was shown many times.

How would I know, I wasn't in the game.

You're butt-hurt about that one play that the ref's didn't call and even the announcers said was a legal hit? I would be more worried about players admitting to the grabbing of scrotum.

Why be mad? The team you wanted to win won. Congratulations.

Guess which team has a better chance of being there again next year? Without Watson, Clemson will go back to mediocrity no matter what Swinney thinks. Alabama will lose some key defensive players but Saban never seems to have a problem reloading those and Alabama's offense has nowhere to go but up with Bo and Hurts returning next year.

How many penalties were there?

Maybe you are a Gopher fan and you're just not used to watching aggressive defenses play?

If you weren't such a fraud, you'd know how foolish that statement is.

It will be interesting to see how Alabama does next year. In theory, their QB will be 1 year better, as will their RB. But I think Sarkesian is going to be disappointing as an OC. I think the rest of the SEC will be down next year though.

No doubt this was Clemson's only shot! Swinney has good recruits, but I'm seeing an 8 or 9 win season next year. Great game!

    • I have nothing good to say about his presidency
    • So they called Reilly back up, but part of me is kind of hoping that Prosser plays. Earlier this year he was very solid. You never get elite level from him, but I think he was dependable out there and I have been a big critic of his for a long time. The ceiling is obviously higher for Reilly and I want him to be a regular at some point, but if he isn't going to get 10 mins a night he is better off in Iowa and play Prosser. What impresses me are these numbers: 141 goals for (Tied 4th), 96 goals against (tied #2), +45 differential (#2). When was the last time a Wild team was in the top 5 in goals scored? We have a very balanced team and it is fun to watch, which this balance is also why slumps by Parise and Pominville don't kill this team or at least haven't until this point. I will say it again, I was a huge proponent of signing Staal. NO, I didn't think he was going to be leading our team in scoring, but what I was excited about was that it would mean that Coyle/Granlund could play wing where they should be. Those two are playing great overall and both have been playing wing pretty much entire season thus far. We can also thank Gravovac for his role too because without him, one of the two would be playing center most likely.
    • I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted, but I was able to take my new fish house out on the ice last weekend.  Fishing was slow for most of the weekend, but we had a good time otherwise.   I have some of the lights and tv mounted up temporarily till I start putting up the carsiding.  I'm just a little nervous about starting on the carsiding until I know exactly how to do my lift bunks.  I'd hate to put all that up and realize I don't have my furring in the right spot.   Furnace ducts are also ran temporarily, they'll be covered by cabinets when it's all said and done.  Most of the day saturday we didn't need the furnace anyways.  The sun kept it 10 degrees higher than what we set the furnace at!   Right now she's nothing pretty, but she got the job done without any problems on her initial trip.
    • Cooter ol' pal,  I think maybe you tend to skip over your inherent decency when you refer to President Obama as " a POS" My guess is you actually have a little more respect than that for a man to did the heavy lifting for the US for eight years and,  on more than one occasion,   has proven he is a decent man who really cares about the issues we face. You can disagree of course with some things-or all things for that matter-the man has done but he DOES deserve your respect. He is definitely not,  as you put it "a POS" and I'd guess you really have more class than that.
    • Are you saying then that the endorsement by the KKK didn't garnish votes from silent believers in the Klan? Clintons "embracement" of BLM probably cost her votes.
