paceman
Whatever you do, don't go to youtube at look up the hunting series Chasing November. Apparently there are 24 episodes. I have only watched the first 7 so far but man is it a great show, lots of very good information! Of course they will plug their sponsers but that is fine. Really cool watching these guys develop foot plots, place cameras, hang stands... as they chase specific bucks! I can't wait until I have time to continue watching the next episode! huntnfish

engfish
Thanks for the tip on the Chasing November series. It was like a good book that you can't put down. Obviously, there are some differences in what the regs will allow in MN, but it does make you a believer in food plots when hunting your own land. The only time in my life that I've seen that many deer in a field in one night was when I lived in Texas, and there's no comparison when you see the size of the deer in the Midwest. I liked the fact that there were a few misses recorded and there were some shots that were less than perfect--which is bow hunting for many of us. It definitely was worth watching and presented some good food for thought. paceman and huntnfish
