Naturboy
I've been looking for ways to do this and I think I found the best solution for me is to use a magnet on the inside method. As seen on YouTube. That way if the kids use it I don't have to worry and just take it off all together and I'll still get temp readings. eyeguy 54
delcecchi
I use a suction cup mount on canoe.... For the transducer. The unit mounts to a tool box.
Neighbor_guy
I use my LX6 and just shoot through the hull. Just a splash of water in the kayak if needed and set the transducer on the bottom and go.
Naturboy
I tried a magnet and couldn't get it to work to my satisfaction. Since my yak was so outrageously cheap I just opted to drill a hole for transducer and depth finder mounts. I also drilled 2 more for a box for the battery.
