Sky blue rocks and boulders, one scrambled

Recommended Posts

Was  involved with some excavation near Mcgregor last weekend. When we hit clay, started to hit lots of blue stones. We might not have even noticed the boulders if the bucket hadn't scraped a side of them, because they were all seriously locked up in clay. The clumps with rocks inside were slightly harder. The trophy is a jumbled up 5 inch rock with some of the same blue color of the 10 and 20 inch boulders. There's a few others with same and similar coloring but drastically different characteristics. One was mottled, another very grainy that sparkled all over in the sun, some layered. The boulders look to have a little quartz and some rusty veins.
