I just put jelly in mine, a gob in each of the 4 corners. I also drilled a hole in the bottom of each section for the rain water to drain out. the nature boy
I've read that you can re hydrate them by soaking them in hot water for 30 minutes. They then turn soft and flexible again. Some say they work great for panfish, just as well as live ones. I have used live ones before and they definitely catch fish. This would be a real cheap alternative. Don't have to feed the freeze dried ones either.
eyeguy 54
interesting. when they get wet from rain they turn to mush
the nature boy
That's interesting too. Are the ones you buy freeze dried? I've read there are heat dried and freeze dried meal worms. Or, maybe 30 minutes is the limit before they start turning mushy. Edited May 5, 2016 by the nature boy
