reata
I'm in the market for a new rod for jigging for walleye at LOW. I've been using a 7ft shimano ml fast for the last seven years and I'm ready for a change. I have a shimano stradic c14 +FA reel that I like but I am interested in what spinning rods everybody else is using for straight down jigging. length, power, action, and brand, thanks. randerson
I would strongly advise on having one custom built for yourself. There is a difference over factory built rods. reata
Scott O.
For vertical jigging, I'm a fan of Cabela's Fish Eagle 50 and XML rods. For the money, they are extremely excellent and sensitive rods. I use either 6'6" or 7' medium light action rods with fast tips. BartmanMN
I love my Fenwick Elite Tech jigging rod. It has a nice sheen on it now from all the shiner minnows on LOW. BobT

Ditto on the Elite Tech walleye jigging rod. I bought mine two years ago this spring and love it!
troutkingmaster
I just picked up a 6.5 ft Medium weight Fish Eagle 50 and am looking forward to trying that out. At 50% off, I think that is a lot of rod for the money. gunner55 and Scott O.

I use fireline so I still can get good hooksets on a lighter action rod due to no stretch. I troll with stiffer rods cause I used 1 1/2 oz bouncers exclusively
