I would have to find a new photo host besides Photobucket, and I don't really want to deal with finding a new host and re-doing all the links.

ahh dang okay sounds good, building one myself right now and had been looking at yours way earlier when you where building it, your house turned out great again btw.

also would you do anything different with the infloor heat or were you happy with how it worked and held up last season?

Sorry, I'll try to get it figured out, but I won't have any time for the next month with hunting season and work.

In floor heat worked perfectly, but we do have an updated design with a couple tweaks to it.

Would you be able to post pics of your bed again?  I really like that idea, very smart.  Would you make any changes on the next one.  Should get my firebrand shell this week, lots to do.

Lip_Ripper, did you do anything special with the aluminum siding around the nailing flange of the windows? just wondering if I were to use wood studs and run the aluminum siding up to the edges of the actual window would the thickness of the nailing flange cause the aluminum to bubble or anything? I would think the walls would need to be very straight and plumb so there are no ripples. Maybe I'm splitting hairs here but I'm just curious. Solid ice house btw!

We tape the studs around the window opening, and then get the window in place, and clamp it down for a day or so.  Then the siding gets cut up to the actual window, or maybe just 1/8" short.  Then the diamond plate trim over the top.  Once everything is in place, you'd have a really hard time seeing the slight outward bow caused by the tape and nailing flange.

With wood studs, you may want to look at a stainless fastener through the diamond plate, siding, and flange.

    • Careful, man.  Any such suggestions get criticized pretty heavily.  I came here around this time last year and posted something similar, and I hadn't been on this forum for quite some time.  My question was met by one of the mods with mock & ridicule.  But he thought that was okay as long as he put a smiley face or an lol after every sentence.  Funny, funny guy.  No wonder it's a ghost town around here.  Too bad, this was a must-read destination back in the day.
    • Here are a couple pictures from our WI season. We were able to take 5 birds. Two of us had two tags and one buddy just had one tag. Really think the predators in the area have these birds learning to be silent. They do not gobble much and if they do it’s mainly morning before fly down 2 or 3 times at the most. Over that last 5 years it’s been like this the first 10 years gobbling was heard through the day but now you don’t hear that gobbling in the distance or to calls very often. Still come to calls but almost ways silent now which is fine they still come in.   Finally all done and food plots are almost finished love the spring time.
    • Congrats on the bird
    • Congrats on the bird.
    • Assume you were in a blind since you are bow hunting.  That is a long time ...  active bird or no bird.   Very Nice.
    • Way to go!  That's persistence!
    • Way to go Britt!
    • So our bear friend came back today and she brought somebody with her. It might be time to quit feeding the birds sunflower seeds until next fall.
    • I picked up that double bag deal about a month ago at Home Depot here in Sioux Falls. Ironically it was the same weekend we had the big April snow storm.
    • I see Home Depot advertising for Memorial day but no Kingsford double bag on sale. Has anyone seen any on sale anywhere? I am down to my last bag and need to stock up, Memorial weekend is usually the time to do it.
