thatoneguy
Just wanted to let folks who are planning on venturing north this year know that the US Dollar to Canadian Dollar exchange rate is pretty spiffy right now - 1USD = 1.37CAD as of today. It has been as high as 1:1.46 recently, but has come down a bit. So, it's worth heading to your local bank and buying some CAD now to help make the trip up nort even more affordable this year! Just a thought. Your mileage, as they say, may vary. prov1900
prov1900
And if petro stays down like it has been (knocking on wood as we speak), that trip will be even better. I'm still going, regardless.

One place I've visited posts rates in USD, but if you pay them in USD you get roughly half of the exchange rate. Again, your mileage may vary. Cheers
If rate is quoted in US $ then exchange rate does not come into play . If your lodging charges $1000 / week U.S. then you pay $1000 U.S. . So the same lodge last year was $1000 U.S/ week and the rate stays the same this year the lodge owner is gaining about $350 extra at your expense . When things are priced in currency other than the currency of the country the customer never gets full benefit . thatoneguy
