Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

When KVD says he had, "a solid practice". I am starting to second guess not picking him.

He's grinding to get his 4th and 5th fish still with an hour to go.

Yeah,  getting lucky so far, a lot of fishing left.

With the warm weather,  I switched to a couple shallow water studs...Hack and faircloth.

This is going to be an interesting tourney. Sounds like this place is a crazy tidal fishery. Saw a facebook post yesterday that Swindle filled up his boat with gas 3 times yesterday haha. I love places like this. It's no ones home water and there has never been a Bass tourney here. I keep switching my picks on fantasy. Wonder how many times Ill switch it today haha.

Yep, Not many of my guys are doing well.  Hack Attack needs to come alive for me..........well he and the rest of my team.  But yeah, this one looks like it would be fun to fish...or drive through on 4-wheelers????  Honestly most of those rice pad canals look less than a foot deep.  Crazy!

Anyone watching the live feeds today? Man if I was Carl J I would be hollering at Boyd Duckett. What a piece of work. Carl said that when he got to the spot where he caught his two 7lbers yesterday Boyd D was power poled down right on it. Carl said he probably shouldn't have yelled so loud yesterday when he caught his 7lber because there was no one around him and then all the sudden Boyd comes in and starts fishing right on top of him. Boyd couldn't figure out how to catch them yesterday but when right there today and now has 16lbs. I mean it is totally legal to do but man have some respect. I can't stand people that don't find their own fish and let everyone else do the work for them.

Not sure what to think of that one............Duckett got there first.  Maybe he had the spot in Prefishing but Joc got there first yesterday???  I dunno, just me I guess.

You watching the Blogs today?  I'm impressed with the amount of fish caught versus yesterday.  Seems guys were scraping through until the Nth Hour yesterday to get their limits.

Sounds like Carl put all his effort in practice on this one spot. He said that Boyd only came over to fish that area when he heard Carl screaming and saw him catch the two 7lbers. To me that's pretty crappy. Especially to be right on the spot where the two 7lbers were caught. It's a very small spot and to be power poled down right on it is garbage. And now Boyd is catching them. The question was brought up that if Carl hadn't had the lead would Boyd even went back to the area where he had caught only 7lbs. Guarantee you he wouldn't have

    • I will say having the freespool feature when your on top of a school a perch moving through has put more fish in the bucket for me. Way quicker than hand lining a spinning reel. Once you get the freespool dialed in and running smooth,  you  can get your bait right back in front of the fish effortlessly. It makes a world of difference when your in a hurry. I run and gun on the ice and most lakes and sloughs here in SD are not that deep so works great for me.
    • I live right outside of Moorhead and see a few in the winter now days. About 8 yrs ago they moved into the shelterbelt around our place and there were about 50. It was nice to see them. I grew up in Harvey N.D. and we would go out and shoot a pickup box full in a night. That 250 - 300 jacks in a night. We would sell them to a guy that had a Mink and Fox ranch and get 50 cents each. The amount of jacks we would see in a night would be in the 1000's.   I think all the chemicals and pesticides are killing them off. We dont see the Meadow Larks like we use to either.
    • They work great on a super limp rod in 10 ft or so for tiny jigs on panfish, eliminating spin. Worthless after that. For this purpose expensive ones are a waste.
    • I actually have one but it is up north and I won't be in a position to get it until next spring.   So PM me if you still need it then and you can have it.   Been a few years since I used it, but it worked when I stashed it in the attic.   They are not too hard to take apart and clean, and that might help.  Let me know in May if you still are in need.
    • Another solution is to get Handheld radios (FRS/GMRS) especially if there's weak cell signal.
    • I have a Minnkota 12V bow mount trolling motor but need a foot pedal as mine isn't reliable and they discontinued the product.  The connection of the cord is a little over an inch and oval in shape.  Thank you!
    • The wife and I have different tastes so I usually use an off the shelf prime rib rub and finish up with coarse ground salt and pepper. There are lots of great rub recipes out on the net depending on your taste and company
    • Good catch of the actions and reactions of the walleyes down there.
    • Nice catch for your little boy!
