Smoking roast question.

Gota big trip this weekend, promised smurf a bear roast. I wanna put smoke on it. but the only time I have to smoke it is after work, about 530 pm. I could put smoke on it till about 10 which would be fine, itd get plenty of smoke.........but, then I wnaa finishi it int he oven, I wont have time to do that till the next day. would their be a problem after the smoke to put it in the fridge till I can finish it the next day? I cant cold smoke it either. no cold smoky thingy. thoughts please

I don't see a problem at all.  I would put the roast in a aluminum pan though so those juices stay saved also.  good luck.
