New Wisconsin Record Tiger Trout!

On Saturday January 2nd 2016 I was fly fishing in Vernon County Wisconsin with my friend Ryan.  I ended up catching what is believed to be the new inland record Wisconsin Tiger Trout.  It measured in at 17 inches and nobody knows of a bigger one ever being caught since official records for Tiger Trout are not kept.  It was caught using a yellow version of the streamer known as Frick's Fix.  A video of how to tie the streamer can be seen here How to tie Frick's Fix.  I was using a seven weight St. Croix Avid two piece fly rod.  It was a good day had by all.

you obviously shared the information on location with a few too many anglers. Your tiger record is now held by a guy from Milwaukee.  Is on front page of Crawford County Independent.  Angler said he caught it in Vernon County and was given a tip by a local.
