97 Polaris XC skis

SkunkedAgain

Recommended Posts

I hit a hidden rock this weekend. It ripped the plastic ski skin badly on the right side. On the left side I broke the metal supports/braces on top of the ski that connect it to the spindle. The ski toe is pretty much disconnected from the rest of the ski.

Online I see a lot of plastic and composite skis for sale that say they are for 1997 Polaris sleds. Can these be used as replacements - i.e. is the connection to the spindle the same for most skis?

Second question is how hard it is to swap out the skis? This is a cabin sled and there is no good place to make repairs, meaning it'll be out in the open over snow covered ground.
