Boar
Hi ya'll, we,ve always gone to Zipple bay camp ground, realy love it, we've recently sold our "Not quite to the lakeside trailer type cabin" cause were not using it nearly enough to justify the money. we have a 20ftV castle that we've been using and it really works greatfor summer camping, Were looking for a new adventure, a campground, state camps are nice, but wanna look at maybe resorts, a beach would be nice, elec would be nice, and dont want to be cramed in like sardines. we stayed at Icelandice state park by Cavilier ND last weekend for the ride in and it pretty much su cked, we could hear three different conversation going on at the same time and i could spit on one adjacent campers bumber from out fire pit. Not looking for solitude but some elbow room. any one have any suggestions please, thank you.
eyeguy 54
Fort Ransom St Park in ND is nice. No Beach or lake. On the Sheyenne River. Dirty water but fun canoe and kayaking. We have been there 3 years in a row now. Wife grew up 1 mile from there an me 20. Skeeters are usually an issue but tolerable. http://www.parkrec.nd.gov/parks/frsp/frsp.html
JBMasterAngler
McKinley Park on lake vermillion is really nice. They have a big beach, where you can sit and watch all the kids have crayfish races. There's a store there as well. We camped there over 4th of July weekend 2 years ago (we were actually tent camping, which they only have 3, maybe 4 sites), and all the seasonal campers got together and had karaoke night. Nearby hoodoo point campground has all the same features as well, minus the karaoke.

pushbutton
Hey Boar, tons of spots open at our local Walmart. All the shaded sites are all taken, but the price is right. There is a drainage pond across the street with fish in it. Nature abound .....with pigeons .......and the people watching is absolutely fantastic. Bathroom access is a short walk, not the best shower facilities, but sure you get in a quick spongebath between security guards checks. Also, no need to unhook for food and booze.....it's all right there!!!
