Bobby Bass
This afternoon I laid my lab Barney to rest alongside his brother. he was a 182 months old. He now joins his brother Bud who passed last October. The two can now run again together and scout the trail ahead of me. Losing another wingman just nine months apart is tearing me up. CaptainMusky
Bobby, that really stinks you lost another buddy. I had two dogs at the same time, when one died the other followed soon after. He was heartbroken. The two were only a year in age apart. Your two faithful companions are now together again and probably digging big holes and chasing squirrels or whatever they loved to do. Bobby Bass
Thanks for the kind words, It has been two weeks since I lost Barney and I still find myself looking for him when I hold the back door open for Duncan to come in. His name slips out from time to time as does Buddy as the two brothers were a big part of my life for fifteen years. Grand daughter asked me the other day when will I get Duncan a running mate and I looked at the wife and she was not so firm in her "No we are not going to get another dog". To soon though, maybe come spring their will be another brown dog running around here. hoppe56307, CaptainMusky and LMITOUT
