Thanks guys,  there were loads of them in bloom in Itasca State park.  First lady slipper we have seen. Apparently they are pretty common.

They made us put on a search for the showy Lady Slipper, but no luck.  We may have a new mission for the next month.  Any areas that any of you have found them before that you care to share?

I have seen a lot of showy lady slippers in the Pennington area. Seems like they grew near water and some in the road ditches even.

Most anywhere along the north shore in many of the state parks you will find Showy Lady Slippers.
