Humminbird & Lowrance Question

Thinking about adding an additional graph to my boat. Originally I had a small bird on my console and a small lowrance on the bow. I was able to run both of these at the same time with no interference. Last year I changed them both to Lowrance elite 7's. In doing that When I run them both I do get interference on both units. I like the Mapping options better on the birds but like the sonar better on the lowrance so i was thinking of adding a 899 bird to my console. That way I can have both options I like at the same time and also have the SI on the bird. Wondering if having both the lowrance ducer and bird ducer on the back of the boat will give me interference on both units. Normally I would say yes but at one point I had a setup with both units and no interference was given but they were also on opposite ends of the boat.

the more i search on this the more I am thinking as long as I only use the bird in SI it should not give me interference on the 2d and DI on my loowrance since the birds SI runs at a different freq. Any one have thoughts on that.

My understanding is that the HB units always ping the 2d 200khz unless the sonar is turned off on the setup screen at start-up. You can select full-screen SI or charting, but it's still pinging 2d sonar. I could be wrong. There's a lot of info here on HB units:
