Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Lowrance and lakemaster

Recommended Posts

Fishing Hotspots already works on lowrance. Sooner or later we will all be able to get lakemaster on their units also. will the Lakemaster stuff come on a card like the hotspots? The hotspots one seems to have a better lake list. Any opinions? Which is more accurate.

Next one is the deal where they want to sell me the gps pack when i buy my X-15MT
Why should i do that? It will take up half my sonar screen. Why shouldnt I get one of their standalone Gps units. The price is about the same and the screens are huge. They work with the Hotspots card and i think they will work with the lakemaster.
Anyone know for sure?

No that isnt the same question. they talk about custom maps for single lakes. I am talking about the FISHING HOTSPOTS MAPS. They come on the MMC cards. Plug and go.

I will be buying a 15-mt soon. Why should I spend the extra $300 to get GPS on it so I can use fishing hotspots or lakemaster for that matter if I could buy one of these

Eagle Intellimap 320(GPS)=$350
Lowrance Globalmap =$400
Low Globalmap 3000MT =$500
Why should I waste half of my sonar screen when I could get the eagle for 50bucks more? Is there something Im missing here?

Deemo- you should look at both and purchase which ever setup you like the best. For me it is a lot easier to have all the info on one screen of one unit. It would be hard for me to watch two separate units as well as drive the boat and fish. Yes the split screen is only half as big.

    • So many beautiful carps! Keep them coming
    • Heard about this trick before.
    • Wow.....6th win of the season and it gets called ugly.......J/K. Getting down to the last few races and we have a pretty good battle going on for the top spot. I know I’m about out of decent picks left but we’ll see what happens. Good luck everybody
    • Watched a nice 8 or 10 chase a doe back and forth for 45 min on Monday night. He checked her several times but she didn’t want anything to do with him. Few scrapes then showed up that night as well. About an hour north of the cities.
    • Sorry but $200 seems pretty high for that thing to me. Thousands of less expensive alternatives.
    • Looks like a great project.  A DYI froth pak for $500 or so will do 12 sq ft at 1" thick.  Most home improvement stores carry these.
    • I got a set of FXR FLoating bibs on clearance from the place in Rush City that goes along with my jacket I bought last year. It is really warm and lite.

    • Last weekend I switched out my ramp door for a bay window.  I'd like to spray foam it, but I'm sure I won't be able to find anyone willing to do it professionally in my area, at least not at a reasonable price.  Last winter I had to drive an hour and a half to get the rest of it spray foamed for about $2000.  One company told me they wouldn't fire up their equipment for less than 1800. For this small of an area I'm thinking I would be just fine with the foam boards @ 2-3/4" thick with the furring.  Otherwise, does anyone know how well those Menards Froth Packs work?  $360 still seems kind of spendy to spray foam that little area myself.
    • That's awesome. I gave mine a test last night and they weren't bright enough. I might have to order some bright lights from Amazon.
