Any reviews? Like the price of the 5.1 ratio with power handle.......or go with a toro nacl 60 5.4? Already have an older toro 5.4 and like it.

The 400 7.1 is tempting but i do throw 10s quite a bit, although have the toro 5.4 for that.........guess i cant make up my mind, need some input!

I have the 6.3 and liked it a lot as well. It's not nearly as tough as either of Tranx, but a good all purpose reel for topwater, small blades, crankbaits, and rubber. I think I will get another this year in the 5.4 ratio to use for slower topwaters like hawg wobblers and creepers...

A good friend of mine got the high speed one and loves it for jerkbaits, walk the dog topwaters, and rubber.

Hope this helps.

Lexa 400: You wouldn't want the 7.1 for blades as it has does not have much power and the pull would destroy the gears. The low gear ratio is best. I run a 6.3 and it's a fantastic for everything double 8's and lower. My buddy runs the low gear, power version and it's very powerful. The build isn't shimano quality, but it's pretty darn good.

Lexa vs NaCl: I think the NaCl is much higher quality. With that said, i hate the way they feel on a rod. I'd love one, but I think they sit too low relative to how wide they are. Put them both on a rod before you decide.

I still cant decide....and the okuma komodo 364 looks interesting as well.  I like power handles, the ones on the older revos are perfect for me.  The knob on the nacl and okuma look almost overkill, the daiwa about right.  Both the okuma and nacl are a bit lighter than the daiwa.  Line per inch is 25 for the nacl, 27 daiwa, and 31 okuma........all within 20 bucks of each other.  Have a bud with the nacl, maybe try it with the reg handle and power and see.  Dont know anyone with a 400 lexa or 364 okuma.....

My dad picked up the 5.1 with the power handle last year. He's almost 70 and has been slowing down a lot. He couldn't throw blades more than a handful of casts before. The 5.1 is fantastic for double 10s and 13s. It's basically effortless. The casting is fantastic (we had Saltists before last year and they aren't good at casting).

I just got one last week, they were on sale at Joe's. The 5.1 is just a little too slow for 8s. My dad bought a 6.3:1 in the offseason because he liked it so much.

The reel fills in a gap between the toros and the Tranx at an absolutely fantastic price.

They don't have the finish of a shimano. But, if they are as durable as they seem to be I think this is a great buy.
