leech~~
I got a Peet M97 boot dryer from my brother in law used. Do these things even work? I plugged it in waiting for a fan or some heat to come out of it and about 20min's later I could barely feel any heat out of it? Is that the way they work? leech~~
As I thought, a piece of craap no one has. Maybe I'll give it back to him or throw it.
fishwater
My Peet boot dryer doesn't have a fan either and only puts out a bit of heat. If you let it run with your boots over the dryer, the inside of the boots should feel fairly toasty after a little while. If the boots aren't warming, the heater is likely shot. aanderud
Leech, go to amazon and check out the reviews on the peet dryers. Almost all of htem are 4.5 stars or so out of 5. Seems like folks like them. Give it a shot with boots on top and see what you think.
lovebigbluegills
I sure love the one I have. As mentioned above, there is no fan, and it does take a little while to get your boots warmed up.It is, without a doubt, one of the better investments I've made. leech~~
Thanks guys, it looks like they are about $39-45 bucks new and I was kind of wondering why the way it seemed to be heating up, I thought it was burnt out or something?. Of course the price I pay was pretty good at Free. I'll give her a try.
lovebigbluegills
I'm quite sure you'll be happy with it, especially considering the bargain
Coon
I wouldn't be without one.
123fish
Put your wet boots on the dryer when you take them off and they will be dry by morning. If not the heater isn't working. Love my Peet.
Jim Almquist
Leech,I believe that is the way they are suppose to work. Slow and low heat so the leather will not dry too fast. I also have the extension tubes for my waders just to get the sweat dried out so they don't start stinking.
leech~~
Thanks Jim and LeechLake for the info. I did plug it in and let it sit and it started to warm up after a while. I also looked at some reviews on line and people said the same thing. I'm just the kind of guy that wants to see something happen when I plug stuff in. Like high force winds and blast furnace heat! Arr, Arr. At least give me a dam little red light to look at, so I know something is happening!!
lawdog
Best investment I ever made. I've put boots on their dripping wet and worn them the next day. They just work!
