StabiliTrak

Recommended Posts

I have a question on this. I have a 3/4 ton Chevy pick up. I thought I read somewhere that in certain instance in snow ice that it's helpful to disengage this.

I've had issues in small amounts of snow and icy conditions where it seems it kicks in and usually I throw it in 4WD to get moving again. The SabilitTrak works great in keeping from spinning out when the back end slides but in these other situations is there something I should do to have better traction? Thanks.

You should be able to turn off the stabilitrak off. If I remember right you push and hold the traction control button until a message pops up in the message center saying stabilitrak off.

Like you said it works good to keep from spinning out, but it is also nice to be able to turn it off.
