eyeguy 54
What a diff a week makes. Butchered my buck last week and a lot of fat. Butchering SIL's today and hardly a speck of fat above the hind quarters. He must have really been busy!
DonBo
I shot two does early in the season, one opening weekend of archery way back in September, the other just a couple weeks later. Both had more fat than I can ever remember seeing on a deer, especially that early in the season. Good feed, or bad winter coming?
Archerysniper
Same with mine Don, she had almost 3 inches of fat on her hind quarters on bow opener
Eric Wettschreck
Of all the deer we butchered from the opening weekend, only one bigger buck had a good amount of fat on the back. The other bucks and does had very little fat. They must have been hittin the gym and laying off the snack foods.
