traveler
So it looks like I might be making a solo run next June, and it's usually cheaper to team up. I've got 1/2 dozen AK trips under my belt, this time I just want to run up for a week (or so) of just fishing, reds primarily...filling up a couple fish boxes hopefully. Could do a butt charter.Nothing definite yet on timing, likely mid June; I'm going to get things figured out soon to reserve air and accomadations.Open to someone who's never been, or a newbie; this would be a pretty inexpensive trip (for AK anyway). I do have a couple buddies who just might still be able to swing it, so I'm just kind of gauging interest here to see if there's anybody who would be up for it. Shoot me a PM, or answer here. traveler
What are your Sitka plans Loonasea? Any extra room? Maybe I'll go with you! I know Sitka was hot for kings this year, and I'd sooner fish them anyway:)

live4chrome
If you are going to plan a sockeye trip why June? Go week of July 14th and you should hammer them
traveler
yeah, I've done July a few times, but I really like June better, less people, less expensive RV/lodging, usually better weather. And between Seward snagging (which I like...say what you will:) and the first run Russian, not too tough to fill a couple boxes.I'm in negotiations with a couple friends, so it's still up in the air... bottomdweller
Hoping to do sitka in june as well but more than likely just a three day fishing trip more than likely. Wish it would be longer. Was there for two weeks this summer and cant wait to get back
