Fish&Fowl
Is the portage rail able to handle it?
walt501
Short answer - yes no problem. My neighbor here on Clearwater has a Hewes Craft, I believe it's a 22 foot Ocean Pro model with a completely enclosed aluminum cabin and a 250hp Honda outboard and he takes it into Pipestone all the time. According to the Hewes brochure, his boat alone weights 3000 pounds dry with no engine. You won't have a problem. Best wishes for an enjoyable trip and report back how you did when you return! NoWiser
The portage won't be a problem at all. Good luck! I'm jealous, that's my favorite place on earth!
