Boat motor prop. ?

Question

Hi guys just have a ? on Props.
I am lookingat a prop. called the Piranha
Propeller Its a cast plastic prop with replaceable blades can anyone tell me a
little more about this if known.
My ? is are they any good.
Thanks for any info.

While I haven't heard of this particular brand, composite props, in general, are recommended only as a back up, in case of a prop failure to get you to shore. Recent developments in materials and production have increased the strength of them, and some Glastron Fiberglass boats with I/O's in them have come from the factory with a composite prop. I, personally would prefer a aluminum or stainless steel prop over a composite... but that's my opinion.
