mwal
Sitting in the cabin watching the waves on bony lake while boat sits on trailer. Middle Eau Claire where boat landing is frozen. Upper Eau Claire frozen. Shell lake was still frozen on drive up. No rigs at grocery store in Spooner and no traffic. Gonna sort tackle and relax. mwal
Yep looked Shell looked open at 6pm on Sunday on the way home Sunday. I could not believe even Most of the small Lakes in Barnes had Ice on them Except for Bony and Robinson which are spring fed headwater lakes. I assume Schunenberg and Sweet that flow into Upper and are spring fed may of been open but they have no public boat landing so i did not drive by them. Even Smith Lake by Hayward had Ice and its a dark water lake that opens quick Nelson looked ope from what you can see from US 27. My Buddy in Hayward said The Chip Flowage was partially open and that was where the few people that drove up were. Never saw a boat the whole way back to MN Sun. Hard on the bait shops and Bars /stores for sureMwal
